SPORTS DAY - 2018

                  Our 36^th Annual Sports Meet began by around 8.30 am on 21^st July 2018. Mr. Arun Balagopalan IPS, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic-Madurai city was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The playground wore a festive look with huge arches and eye-catching paintings displayed all over. Mahatma has a matchless practice of bringing in the theme in all the events. The themes were ‘Year of Epics’ and year of 'Cleaner and Greener Environment’. The spectators were spell bound by the imposing figures of Hanuman, Kannagi and other Characters of Tamil epics in floats. One float was about ‘Cleaner and Greener Environment’. The Drills, Aerobics, Yoga and Karate depicted stories from epics and also brought out the theme of  ‘Cleaner and Greener Earth’. The Cultural dance was spectacular and theme based as well. The Chief Guest gave a motivating speech and advised the students to do good reading and know more about the epics of the other countries as well.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Right at the beginning of each academic year we hold Orientation Programme. It was held this year also, for classes from KG TO XII on different days. We invite guest speakers on the occasion. Parents are invited and the Guest Speakers render speech. The Guest speaker gives some tips to parents on how to support and guide their wards. The senior Principal furnishes details about the rules and regulations of the school. The parents are offered tea with biscuits.
