AWARDS CEREMONY

                       The new academic year begins with the mega event – 36^th Senior Annual Awards ceremony. It was held in School premises on Thursday 13^th June 2019. The Chief Guest was Prof. Ramanujam Nedumaran, a motivational speaker in English and Tamil. Annual Report comprising of the academic achievements of the students was presented by the Principal and Vice Principal. The Chief Guest distributed the awards to teachers who served for 30, 20, and 10 years. He also presented sponsor and school awards to the students who were toppers in Board exams and school annual exams.

TERRACE GARDENING

“The Love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies”

                    The seed is already sown in minds of Mahatmites through regular campaign by our senior principal. In addition to that we had a workshop on “Terrace gardening” by Mr. Sundar and Mrs. Rajeswari at Akkamma building. The programme was organized by our school management in association with Soroptimist International, Madurai. It is a year long programme that guides women from rural areas, parents and students in setting up a terrace garden and a maintaining it.

ORIENTATION 2019-20

We organized Orientation programmes for classes VI to XII on different dates. 

For X,XI,XII it was conducted on 3^rd June 2019. Swami Sivayogananda, a disciple of the world renowned spiritual master swami chinamayananda, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. He addressed the parents on that evening. He quoted Sanskrit verses and suggested some guidelines on how to bring up children amidst all the 21^st century challenges.

VIII & IX

Orientation programmes are fantastic opportunities for parents to know what to expect in the coming year and also to equip themselves for it. There was an explanation of the pattern in which the school functions and of the extracurricular activities. The support of the parents was sought Dr. Shanmugaiah was the guest speaker.

VI & VII

Dr. Vikram Ramasubramanian, the founder of Ahana Hospital was the chief Guest amd he happens to be our alumni. He spoke about child Psychology and later it turned out to be an interactive session. The handling teachers were introduced.
