DRAMA FESTIVAL
Drama festival is another mega event in Mahatma Schools like Cultural Day and Sports Day. Topics are given to all the classes right from LKG to XII based on the themes declared. This year, the themes were 'Year of Epics' and 'Year of Greener and Cleaner Environment'. Each section presented a drama in the Semi-finals in Tamil and English. The best one was selected to go for the finals. The Finals were held in different branches of Mahatma for different classes. The students wrote the script, made the props and jewellery and played music. Experts in the field of literature were invited as judges. The Drama Festival gave the students rich experience and very good exposure on epics. It made them also environment friendly.

Mahatma Model United Nations

        Model United Nations session is an yearly event organized, to make the students to get to know about the current affairs, burning issues around the world.
        Our senior principal lit the Kuthu vilakku and started the programme at 10 am and gave a motivational speech to the students to take up responsibilities in solving the problems around the world in future.
        Under three committees- Human Rights Council(HRC), World Health Organization(WHO) and Security Council(SC) students discussed many topics like women empowerment, Racism, War and Refugee problems, Drug abuse, poverty.

During the proceedings they had several sessions like moderate caucus, unmoderated caucus, drafting the resolution for the given problem. Finally the session came to an end around 4pm. This session has helped the Children to develop their leadership qualities, public speaking skills and communication skills to emerge as great personalities in the world arena. 













 MOCK ELECTION
To make the Children understand the political set up of a democratic country, Mock Election was conducted. Children were instructed on the different stages of conducting an election (i.e) Nomination, creating their party's logo, names, manifesto, campaign. On the day of election everybody was allowed to vote in the polling box after showing their ID cards as their identity. The elected members assumed the office and started  the student community in maintaining cleanliness and discipline.
