"ART IS A POEM WITHOUT WORDS"      -Horace

The vivid art expo was inaugurated by Ms. Umanjali Mishra. She gave a crisp note about art and how students have to develop their artistic skills which is always taken care of in Mahatma. As this year's theme is "EXPLORE INDIA", the art Exhibition 'Varna Malya' depicts the art and culture right from Kashmir's Amarnath Temple to Thiruvalluvar statue at Kanyakumari.

The carnival was organised with a wide variety of Paintings, Hand work, Pot Painting, Jewellery making, Jute work, Paper Craft, Vegetable carving, Costume designing and rangoli done by Mahatmites.

ECSTASY EXPEDITION

Having provided feast to one's eyes, there were food stalls with mouth-watering items, music to the ears, foot loose and other games to check our physical fitness too. The mini 'Stop-n-Shop' stalls had dress materials, show-piece, stationery and other add-ons. Children were active and agile enjoying all under the roof along with their parents. It really served as a stress burster for one and all. 

The coloruful profit is made more meaningful by being donated to construct toilets in rural schools, thus this artistic skilful event always remains purposeful and successful.

69th Republic Day

Proud to be an Indian!

One of the historic days of India is celebrated with a fervour of patriotism. It started with a Prayer Song. 

"ஓங்கி வளர்ந்ததோர் கம்பம்..." and this is how our TRIRANGAA flies high with pride. 'Speech is Power; Speech is to Persuade' said Ralph Waldo Emerson. As this saying goes, a powerful speech was given by Ms.Lavanya. Mahatmites lifted our spirit with the patrioitic songs sung by the school choir. The wonderful celebration ended with Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem.

MARGAZHI UTSAV 2018-19

                      This  is a yearly feature in Mahatma and it is to foster the sense of spirituality in our students. Margazhi is a Tamil month that is dedicated to prayer and worship in all temples, small or big. It is in Margazhi, that Christmas also falls. To mark the utsav this time students played the popular song "Thillai ambala Nataraja" on the instruments. It was followed by two keerthanas, which the students sang with a  touch of professionalism last of all was 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' the dance drama describing the celestial wedding of Lord Srinivasa with Goddess Padmavathy it was nevertheless, a feast to the eyes. It was a grand wedding with gifts, sweets and new ropes for the couple. Students enjoyed the programme and felt blessed.
