REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION - 2019

                It is January 26th and so it is the right day to salute our soldiers, our martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of the country and who framed the constitution for the world's greatest  Democratic Country. One of our students' parent hoisted the flag on that morning. Patriotic songs were sung and a XI std student B.T Akash gave a speech. The patriotic fervour was set in the air.

PONGAL CELEBRATION

MARGAZHI UTSAV - 2018-19

The chill Tamil month of margazhi is associated with the great Vishnu devotee cum saint Andal. We, in Mahatma celebrate Margazhi utsav every year with devotion. This year also students sang a song from திருப்பாவை and another from திருவெம்பாவை everyday. The story of Andal is narrated. Our children presented a dance drama depicting 'சீதா கல்யாணம்'. The audience was enthralled to witness the celestial wedding. A group of CC teachers and a few students walked around signing devotional songs which is called நகர ஸங்கீர்த்தனம். This year they sang some carols also.
