CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA - 2018
The day, that is 1st September 2018 dawned cheerfully for it was 36th Cultural Extravaganza in Mahatma Schools. The Chief Guest was Kalaimamani Dr. M.S.Sarala, Honorary Director, Department of Fine Arts, Alagappa University, Karaikudi. The Guest of Honour was Tmt. Jothi Mani Elangovan, Assistant Director, All India Radio, Madurai.
Year of Epics is the theme of the year based on which all the programmes were presented. We had three imposing stages and a big LED Screen. Instrumental music was played, songs were sung, dances were performed with minimum break. The gaps were filled by small groups of students who presented conversations and skits to bring awareness about Greener and Cleaner environment because that is one of the themes of the school. The audience was taken to epic era through the programmes.
The dance dramas சிலப்பதிகாரம்  and ராமர்பட்டாபிஷேகம் were strikingly shrunk into a capsule with all possible continuity. The event was colourful, crisp and creative.
