LIGHTING CEREMONY - 2018

                     Lighting ceremony of this academic year 2017-18 was held on Monday, 19.02.18 in our campus. It is a very special prayer event for X, XI and XII students who are ready to appear for their Government Board Examination this year. It was started with the School Prayer song. Mrs. Sumathy Bhardwaj rendered the welcome address, it was followed by the readings of the three Holy Books and universal prayer which consisted of hymns and Bhajans. Mrs. Vijayakumari felicitated the students on behalf of  all the teachers. Akshaya and Vaishali of  X, Sivalochini of  XI, and Aathithyan of  XII shared their experience and expressed their gratitude to the school and teachers. Parents of  X, XI and XII also shared their beautiful experience connected with the school. The Senior Principal addressed the students and parents through her inspiring and motivating words. Our Mentor distributed the Lit Lamps to all the students and the oath was taken. Students were blessed by everyone. It was concluded with the vote of  thanks by Mrs. Murugaselvi, This event warmed their heart, touched their soul, and empowered them to Work hard and realise their dream.

VARNA MALYA
ART EXPO & CARNIVAL

The vivid art expo was inaugurated by Ms. Umanjali Mishra. She gave a crisp note about art and how students have to develop their artistic skills which is always taken care of in Mahatma. As this year's theme is "EXPLORE INDIA", the art Exhibition 'Varna Malya' depicts the art and culture right from Kashmir's Amarnath Temple to Thiruvalluvar statue at Kanyakumari.
The carnival was organised with a wide variety of Paintings, Hand work, Pot Painting, Jewellery making, Jute work, Paper Craft, Vegetable carving, Costume designing and rangoli done by Mahatmites.

ECSTASY EXPEDITION
"WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT WE GET, BUT WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE"
Having provided feast to one's eyes, there were food stalls with mouth-watering items, music to the ears, foot loose and other games to check our physical fitness too. The mini 'Stop-n-Shop' stalls had dress materials, show-piece, stationery and other add-ons. Children were active and agile enjoying all under the roof along with their parents. It really served as a stress burster for one and all. 
The coloruful profit is made more meaningful by being donated to construct toilets in rural schools, thus this artistic skilful event always remains purposeful and successful.
